Back in the saddle.
Hey there, I’m back in the saddle.
I didn’t actually mean to take this long of a break from blogging, but life has a way of filling spaces that become vacant and I guess that’s exactly what happened.
When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in early October, there were many uncertainties…and I kind of just shut down as you can probably understand.
But God has a way of getting your attention and HE certainly got mine.
Since October, I have been following an alternative medicine treatment plan along with two successful surgeries that at the moment appear to have possibly wiped out the cancer thus far. I have had a clear scan but as with any cancer there are no guarantees for the future.
I feel great and am very hopeful that I will continue doing well going forward. I have appreciated all your prayers, they are truly felt, and I am SO GRATEFUL!
Many of my very close friends online are also battling breast cancer and it breaks my heart to know that they have to go through this agony as well, please whisper a prayer for these ladies, they are some of the strongest, bravest women I know.
Some of you may of not know that I jumped off the deep end in January and started Grad School to obtain a Masters in English.
Call me crazy, and it’s been a bit of a wild ride thus far, but I have really enjoyed my first semester and look forward to summer courses to keep me busy during the hottest months of the year here in the desert.
We have a new puppy!
Teddy joined out family in early February and we are smitten to say the least 🙂
He’s a purebred Pomeranian and so adorable. We are in love and he’s providing much needed joy and playfulness in our household, especially for me and Gabriel our almost 13 year old.
I read a lot about side effects as well, but I am really worried about hair loss. I am 32 years old and I have already started losing hair at the top of the skull, I wonder if buy Accutane can make it worse? Which doctor should I go to to get the right advice about this?
Gabriel and I have been taking Teddy to Puppy Training Classes for the past 5 weeks and he’s just about to graduate. We are very proud of how well trained he is already for being only 4 months old. 😉
Speaking of Gabriel, he was Confirmed in the Latin Rite in mid March and now all four of my kiddos are soldiers for Christ! He was so excited and we couldn’t be more joyful that he has received this beautiful Sacrament and the graces that flow from it! God is so Good!! (His oldest brother Benjamin stood in for Gabriel’s sponsor, my father, who couldn’t be present).
Easter is still in full celebration here and I hope this post finds you all healthy and full of God’s love in the Risen Lord!
I’ll be back here again soon as I’ve missed you and this space very much 🙂
