Finding a balance between eating healthy meals, limiting sugar and coffee, and maybe even gluten, are all things that women battle on a daily basis. Not to mention the fact that we are trying to feed a hungry family three square meals a day, and include healthy snacks into the mix.
In addition, how do you fit an exercise regime into your day to day and get all the daily tasks accomplished whilst homeschooling several kiddos, or working at home throughout the day, and possibly still taking care of little ones.
My 7 Tips for Healthy Living everyday:
1 – Get Enough Sleep.
Really, you say, and when does that happen? Start by trying to go to bed 15 minutes earlier each night until you are going to bed an hour earlier than you tend to. In this way, you will probably wake up earlier naturally, therefore giving yourself an earlier and well rested start to your day. And those first, early morning hours can be oh, so productive, I’m convinced 😉
2 – Start your day with Hot Lemon Water.
This will transform your morning. I’ve been doing this for the past 4 years now and yeah. You’re welcome 🙂
3 – Eat Breakfast.
Yep, still the most important meal of the day! Here’s some ideas to get you started!
4 – Drink Water Throughout the Day.

5 – Sit Down for Meals.
Mama’s, I know you know what I’m talking about here. Sit down, chew eat bite slowly, enjoy your food, chat with everyone at the table. Rejuvenate yourself with nourishment, and do it seated 😉
6 – Take a long, hot shower or indulge in a detox bath.
This is the kind of shower you take care of everything: hair, skin, shaving, loofah – whatever it is that gives you that total body clean feeling, at least once a week, it’s incredibly detoxifying, your body will thank you. The bath, even more so.
7 – Move everyday.
This doesn’t mean you have to commit to a Gold’s Gym membership and pump iron with the masses, it means, get outside and move. Or when it’s crummy out – pop in some tunes and move. Get the blood flowing, do it with your kids, but just make at least 20 minutes in each day some move and groove time.
Looking and feeling your best doesn’t have to be rocket science. As busy moms, whether homeschooling, working in or out of the home, taking care of big kids, little kids, or maybe even ailing parents, we need time to connect everyday with what keeps us healthy and moving forward.
Taking care of a family is hard work, do yourself a favor and make time for you in the day to day!
